🔠Formatting values – overview
Formatting dates, numbers, currencies and timestamps in ChiliDocs – with the v6 specifics for rich-text and UTC times.
ChiliDocs provides formatting functions for strings, numbers, dates and currencies. This overview sums up the variants – each topic is covered in depth in the linked articles.
âś… Dates and times
(format:dd.MM.yyyy)– date only(format:dd.MM.yyyy HH:mm)– date + time(format:dateonly)/(format:timeonly)– just the date or time portion of the value
⚠️ Date/time values are shown in UTC. Convert to the target timezone before placing the value in the template if needed.
âś… Currency
(format:currency) uses the currency of the respective record (deals, orders, quotes, subscriptions, line items).
âś… Numbers
See Format numbers for thousand separators and decimal places.
âś… Rich-text (HTML properties)
Rich-text properties are inserted as plain text – HTML tags are stripped. This keeps the Word template robust against unexpected markup.
âś… Text containing square brackets
Text from HubSpot that contains square brackets (e.g. a note "see [deal.description]") is inserted as written and never interpreted as a placeholder.
